Below is an outline of our Company History and the Services we provide
- 1982 – Our company is founded in Sunshine, Melbourne, Victoria as – ZW Engineering Pty Ltd
- 1999 – The Partington family buys into the business
- 2000 – Tony Partington joins the company as Managing Director, with the task of developing the company, provide better systems and customer service
- 2003 – The two founding owners decided to retire and sell their remaining shares in the company to the Partington family
- 2004 – Move to a new – larger – modern workshop with better facilities in Pipe Rd, Laverton North, Victoria
- 2005 – “State of the art” digital Servo Motor test equipment & Permanent Magnet regeneration unit installed
- 2006 – Servo Motors Australia gains accreditation to repair Rockwell Internationals full range of Servo Motors, which includes the Allen Bradley brands
- 2007 – New Servo Motor test equipment installed to process the information from the latest digital programmable feed back units
- 2008 – New testing equipment installed to further upgrade the testing facilities
- 2008 – Servo Motor Engineers visits the Rockwell, Munster Servo Motor Remanufacture Plant & attends formal “Advanced Next Generation” Servo Motor training in the U.S.A
- 2009 – Servo Motor & Pancake motor load testing capability improved
- 2010 – Product information library increased to cope with customer demands
- 2011 – Several new software packages added to further advance our repair and testing capability
- 2011 – New fully equipped testing station added
- 2011 – New Servo Motor Drives added to allow for testing of the “latest next generation” Servo Motors
- 2011 – New Computer Server installed, allowing for better tracking, collection, storage and distribution of information, providing more accurate and responsive reporting. Replacing the old stand alone computer systems
- 2012 – New cutting edge equipment installed to allow the latest advanced Servo Motors to be run tested, during final testing
- 2012 – New advanced static testing equipment installed
- 2014 – New Servo Motor load testing equipment installed, to allow for full load testing of Servo Motors to manufacturers specifications
- 2015 – New high speed precision balancing system added to check high speed servo motors and spindle motors
- 2017 – Solar Panel system added, to move Servo Motors Australia to a Green Future
- 2019 – Further test rigs set up to test very latest servo motor updates and developments
- 2020 – New Spindle motor test rig installed and set up
- 2021 – Two more fully equipped testing and inspection stations installed
- 2021 – New more advanced “next generation” Testing Equipment installed
- 2022 – New Machine shop machines installed, to allow for end-shield and rotor manufacture.
- 2022 – New improved Permanent Magnet regeneration unit installed
